libmail-rfc822-address-perl software package provides Perl extension for validating email addresses, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libmail-rfc822-address-perl
libmail-rfc822-address-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libmail-rfc822-address-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libmail-rfc822-address-perl *
